Now you can connect your HDV cam straight into your Mac or PC computer for a beautiful high-def capture. According to Blackmagic (http://www.blackmagic-design.com/), this will bypass the HDV compression chip giving access to raw, superior-quality video. Hmmm? This only works if you have a computer tethered to your camera. Oh well, it's a start. Supports capture at 720p or 1080i and will be available October 15th for US$249.
