Confused> Join the club on that one. There are a number of variables. Depends on what camera you're using, how much you wanna spend, and a few other things like how you wanna power it.
I currently use a NRG Versalite PRO [model 53000] It's a sturdy well built unit that I run off a couple of NRG battery belts. I purchased the optional barn doors and defussion kit, and it's been a dependable unit that's worked really well for me. I run a 50watt DC bulb in it.
I'd reccomend you upgrade and get the unit with the dimmer on it, becuase sometimes it's not enough to just diffuse the light or control spill with the barn doors. In some situations (like where there is a low or irregular ceiling), you need to dim the light as well.
I have a Sony 20 watt [HVL-20DW2] that I've managed to press into service on these occasions. This light works as either a 10 or 20 watt unit but you have to jury-rig some "tough spun" or similar material over it for defussion for best results.
I'd say, look for something that puts out around 50watts and is dimmable and has some sort of options for diffusion/color correction if possible. Check out the PAG C6 light. I've seen it's pretty versatile and reasonably priced. Consider your power source too, you;ll want to keep at least 4-6 hours of some sort of battery to power it. You have to factor in this into your decision as well.:icon_cool:

I use NRG lights with battery belts. It is 100w, but I seldom turn it up that high. However, if I need it, I got it. Usually, I just click it on the lowest setting at approx. 10 watts. I'd suggest any light you get needs a dimmer switch, and the ability to be tilted up for bounced lighting.
