Finally got my glidecam 4000, spent all morning trying to set it up, I think I finally got it ready to do some shooting with, put a 501 quick release plate on it. handles pretty good, a little on the heavy side, but I guess I'll get used to that. or gget a harness of some kind later down the road. Now I've got to get some practice in on it, As I am putting together a bid on a corprate gig, if I get it, the 4000 will come in handy.

Cool.....
Post us a clip and show us some of your practice footage.
Perhaps you can tell me; What's the physical difference between a GC 2000 and the GC 4000 model anyway? I know the 4000 is for heavier cameras, but is the unit really that different? What camera you using on your rig?
I've got two DVX's and an XL-1, We shoot 80% of our footage with the Panasonics these days but wonder what's unique about the 4000?

from the video they sent with it they look identical. and the instructions are for the 2000, if that tells you anything.
I will be usig a VX2100 with wide angle lense, also may be using a beachtek xlr audio adapter with 2 sennheiser wireless mics attached at times, wont be able to put anything up as I dont have a web presence yet, unless I use youtube or something of that nature.
