I JUST NOW printed onto the TY Watershield DVD (http://www.tapeandmedia.com/detail.asp?product_id=DVD-WPPSB16-WS) a few minutes ago.

After 1 minute exactly, I ran the whole surface under running water...

With the DVD still wet, I placed my index finger on the DVD with a good amount of pressure...

With the pressure applied, I ran my finger up and down over my logo and up into Selina's name several times...

Now with a close up of the results....

The DVD is STILL wet, but my finger dried that portion up... I didn't wash my hands so probably a little dirty, BUT notice how all the text is still readable and not really smudged at all. I'm really confident in the watershield technology on these DVDs.... BTW, I'm using regular Epson Ink on the R200.

I've read similar great reports about these DVDs. I will order some in the near future to try them out. Wouldn't you know I just bought 200 Maxells.

D'oh!

I can vouch for these DVDs and their durability. I have tried the rub test after a few hours, but I wasn’t brave enough to run it under water, but it’s great to know it passed the test. I’ve already printed 10 using the Epson R380...AWESOME! Simply amazing results from the desktop.

Ok, we were given a handful of these discs from the vendor at Video 07 (some company in Florida, forgot exactly who) So we brought them home and printed on them. Sure enough, beautiful glossy finish, and of course not a smudge to be had. Well worth the extra (approx) 40 cents per disc for the nice glossy look.

They did give us CDs (not DVDs) but I'm sure my kids can use the blank CDs. Our next DVD order will defiantly be those discs. If you haven't checked them out yet, get a sample from the manufacturer.

I was just informed by the guy in my company who holds the checkbook, that the shipment of those new DVDs is arriving tomorrow. Guess he ordered them while I was sleeping...

Hi

We have used over 300 now, both CD and DVD printed on a Bravo Pro, and they are fantastic looking and effectively waterproof. All paying customers get these now, but we are still using the TY standard white disks for our demo DVD for cost reasons as we send out hundreds.
