OK, Kristen just told me about a problem she has discovered happens every time she is condensing tapes. I haven't yet looked into it but thought someone may have a quick answer.
So when we have 5 minutes of footage from the end of a wedding on a new tape we usually dub it to the end of another camera tape that is almost full. Kristen usually does this by digitizing the footage to the computer and then recording from the timeline back out to the same camera (on the almost full camera tape). She has found that upon playing back the added footage the audio associated with it (on the tape) will be a 200% speed. The audio will then end half way through the footage and the remaining audio time will be filled "cd skipping type sound" i.e. dit dit dit dit dit dit dit dit.
Weird, any thoughts?
Apparently the audio sounds fine when monitoring the camera upon recording from the timeline.
