Another hello from SoCal

Hi everyone. I've been doing weddings for about 2 years now, almost exclusively in the San Diego area. I haven't yet started marketing myself to the public, but have been sort of the go-to guy for customers who hire my friend as photographer. Two reasons why I haven't pursued wedding and event video professionally: time, which I don't have too much of, and the fact that I'm still learning.

I've been lurking this and other forums for a while, and I have so much to thank a bunch of people for while doing so. It's been a bit of a jarring experience, because so many of you are fantastically talented. Giving advice is easy, all it requires is and opinion and an ego; it's the "being correct" part that is hard. Pick the area where you feel you're strongest and pitch in!

Southern California certainly seems to be one of the many high market wedding and event areas to be. Been here 20 years myself - 15 in the bidness. Now mostly event, commercial, special interest, but still dabble in weddings from time-to-time.
