I'm with you on this one, Brian...

If the cam is half of what it says it is (and the other REDs are proving to be "as advertised") then this is exactly what Sony deserves for the years of jerking everyone around with an endless array of stop-gap technologies that seem to have been designed simply to with obsolescence in mind. (Not to mention the Blu-ray debacle.)

I expect that the "shoot ready price" may be substantially higher but even at twice the price it makes most everything else look like dog meat...
